About Us

For over half a century, Lighthouse has provided compassionate, skilled mental health care to clients of all ages, from all walks of life. As a private non-profit counseling center, Lighthouse responds to the changing needs of our community. We are a Maryland Youth Services Bureau, committed to preventing poor outcomes for children and youth, including those at risk of self-harm, school failure, and involvement with the juvenile justice system. We work with clients of all ages experiencing mental health challenges, life stressors, grief, trauma, life transitions and relationship issues. Through our Together Project, we work with families affected by a loved one’s substance abuse or addiction. Our counselors deliver high quality, evidence-based services with cultural competence and respect for diversity.
