The Maryland Association of Youth Service Bureaus (MAYSB) affirms and promotes the dignity and inherent worth of our neighbors of every race, spiritual belief, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, ethnicity, national origin, socioeconomic status, and physical and mental ability.

MAYSB stands against systemic and interpersonal racism, discrimination and oppression, and works to heal wounds of injustice and victimization.

MAYSB further acknowledges that racism is embedded in society and impacts the mental health outcomes of those we serve.

MAYSB will strive to achieve racial equity in client outcomes through the application of a racial equity lens via direct service provision, examination of our internal organizational systems, our advocacy efforts and partnerships with other agencies pursuing racial equity.

MAYSB commits to this work with the goal of race no longer being a predictor of mental health outcomes for the youth and families we serve.
