Dr. Pfuhl has over 20 years in the mental health field and sixteen years with the Annapolis Youth Services Bureau. She holds a BA from the University of Maryland, MA in counseling psychology from Bowie State University and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Southern California University. In keeping with the AYSB mission of preventing delinquency, Dr. Pfuhl’s dissertation explored the relationship “between inner control and self-esteem in violent females.” Dr. Pfuhl is an Approved Clinical Supervisor, National Certified Counselor, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, and holds a Diplomat in Clinical Hypnotherapy.
